Tyler “Ty” Baker
Program Officer
Ty Baker joined FMC full-time in May 2022. He received his Bachelors in Political Science from American University in 2017, focusing on Comparative Politics and Japan during his studies. After graduating, Ty taught English in Japan for a year with the JET Program and then worked at a luxury travel company in Denver. After an abrupt entrance to pandemic life, he moved back across the country to Washington, DC, taking a position with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a Coordinator for their C100 and CCC100 programming and membership.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Ty is now happy to call DC home with his cat, Kirk. In his free time, he likes to bake new recipes, hunt for cheap flights, and play board games with his friends.
