FMC is a bipartisan, nonprofit, voluntary alliance of former United States Senators and Representatives, educating about representative democracy at home and abroad. 

FMC seeks interns to work in person in our office in downtown Washington, DC year-round. Interns support FMC's programming with current and former Members of Congress, Congressional Staff, students, and our business and diplomatic partners.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Interested in transatlantic, transpacific affairs and/or civic education

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills 

  • Ability to communicate effectively to 

  • Event planning and support experience

  • Professional & respectful demeanor

  • Motivated, creative, flexible, responsible, and resourceful

  • Takes initiative, team player

  • Enjoys working in a politically diverse environment

  • Ability to commit to flexible 20- to 35-hour work week in person

  • Preference for those who are undergraduate or graduate students when applying

Proficiency in German, Hindi (or other South Asian languages), Korean, or Japanese is ideal but not required.
