Insights into Congress is a program, created by FMC, that allows companies the opportunity to help employees and their community strengthen our democracy and encourage civic participation. Many companies believe corporate social responsibility includes providing employees and community groups with important, valuable programming. FMC puts together bipartisan teams of Former Members, allowing audiences, at their workplaces, an inside look into Congress and Washington, D.C., and to national political issues that are important to the company and community hosting the Insights program.

FMC is now featuring Virtual Insights, a new opportunity for supporters to take advantage of the Insights Into Congress programming. More than a dozen Former Members of Congress have joined organizations, electronically, through calls, teleconferences, webinars and other opportunities. Leaders and employees have had the chance to get an inside look at Congress and how Washington works.

Events Can Include:

  • Town Hall meetings with company employees at all levels, from entry-level to executive, to answer the questions voters and employees have about their nation.

  • Briefings with executive team members, to discuss the major issues facing businesses throughout our country and around the world.

  • Visits with local high schools, middle schools, and colleges and universities, to share civic education and to focus on why protecting democracy is important to future generations.

  • Discussions with Chambers of Commerce and other local business organizations, to share the importance of better understanding Congress and our government.

— former U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX)
Insights into Congress provided our employees and community partners with an inside look into our representative democracy, election processes, public service and much more. Hearing the perspectives of both sides of the aisle on each issue was not only valuable, but gave participants a greater understanding of these debates happening in Washington today.
— Steve Merlis, Samsung
It was a worthwhile experience for 8th Grade students. Our principal would love to have it again. He was thrilled for our students to hear first hand about how our governmental system works.
