The newest Congressional Study Group, the Study Group on India (CSGI), was formed in 2025 and aims to deepen the U.S.-India partnership and strengthen the cross-cultural collaboration, strategic alignment, and shared well being between the two nations. As one of the largest economies in the world and a primary power in Asia, India stands as a crucial ally to the United States. We look forward to coordinating opportunities to facilitate growth in the U.S.-India relationship, through our programming and our first study tour in 2026.

Member of Congress Study Tour to India
The CSGI eagerly anticipates its inaugural study tour to India, currently scheduled for 2026. The study tour will bring a bipartisan group of Members of Congress to India for a week to connect with their Congressional counterparts in New Delhi, meet with government officials, and learn more about trade, security, and culture within India. The study tour will also bring Members to a second city in India, in order to gain a more accurate image of India beyond its capital city.
Capitol Hill Programming
The CSGI conducts year-round programming focused on the bilateral relationship to Capitol Hill to engage Members of Congress and congressional staff. The Study Group facilitates engagements with Indian government officials, representatives of the Indian Embassy, and members of the Indian business community with key decision makers in Congress.
