Byeong Hun You
Program Office, Congressional Study Group on Korea

Byeong Hun You joined the Former Members of Congress in September 2019 and serves as the Program Officer to the Congressional Study Group on Korea (CSGK).

Prior to joining the Former Members of Congress, he has had research experience at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and also worked as a research assistant in the Department of East Asian Studies at Emory University. At both institutions, he provided in-depth analysis on U.S. foreign policy in East Asia, U.S.-DPRK nuclear diplomacy, and Inter-Korean relations. In 2018, he participated in the Asia-Pacific Nuclear History Institute hosted by the Wilson Center, where he completed his research on North Korea’s nuclear weapons capabilities and U.S. deployment of ballistic missile defense system in Asia.

He holds a MA in Asian Studies from Georgetown University and a BA in International Studies from Emory University.
