* DATE CHANGE * FMC To Honor Reps. Brady and Neal, Sens. Manchin and Murkowski
Members, Lockheed Martin Will Receive Statesmanship Awards

(Washington, D.C.) – Each year, FMC, the association of Former Members of Congress, recognizes a bipartisan group of current Members of Congress, and a corporate honoree, for their work advancing FMC’s mission of bipartisanship and public service. This year, FMC’s 50th anniversary, will see the association honor Representatives Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and Richie Neal (D-Mass.), Senators Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).

The awards will be presented at FMC’s annual Statesmanship Awards Dinner, held each year to recognize bipartisan work on the part of America’s public servants.

The Senators will receive the award for their work on climate change as part of the Senate Energy Committee, which Murkowski chairs and Manchin serves as Ranking Member. The House Members will receive the award for their bipartisan work on the House Ways and Means Committee, where Neal is Chairman and Brady is Ranking Member.

Lockheed Martin will receive FMC’s corporate honor, for their work across the nation to support local communities as well as our Veterans, as well as America’s next generation. Lockheed Martin sponsors and partners with nonprofits and foundations to make a positive difference in communities across the nation, to empower our nation’s veterans.

The Statesmanship Award Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at the Mellon Auditorium. CNN’s Jake Tapper will be the MC.

“Each year, we are proud to support the men and women in Congress who focus on a bipartisan effort to improve our nation in some way,” said former U.S. Rep. Martin Frost, President of FMC. “However, it is also important to recognize the commitment to serving our society that is made by the private sector, including companies like Lockheed Martin. I am happy that we can recognize them alongside Senators Manchin and Murkowski, and Representatives Neal and Brady.”
